Maybe it is I Don’T Ride My Own Bike But I Do Ride My Own Biker Shirt not that terrible in the right setting. We should teach children about the horrors of things like war and torture. I know when I was that age, the war was glorified, and torture was for bad guys that deserved it. It never occurred to me how terrible these things really were. Even in the right setting it is still traumatizing to learn about people being vivisected, and even more so seeing pictures of that type of thing. 4th grade is 100% too young for that, and you proved it well by providing your own take on torture at that point in your life. Kids don’t understand the consequences. They don’t understand cause and effect as well as you’d think.
