Why have people study at all since they might have something else to do. Plenty of kids need to be dragged into learning shit, so everyone suggesting just giving out optional problems, that’s just gonna lead to nobody doing them and failing class. I think homework should be necessary and not just given bc you feel your students need something from you every day but no homework at all seems kind of silly.
